Hands up if you've heard of "Couch to 5k"?

Couch to 5km program shows almost anyone to run 5km. It is free and super easy to follow. I bet you know someone who’s started it or is doing it right now.

There is a real problem with it. Ask any osteopath or physiotherapist about “Couch to 5K” and they’ll tell you most of the knee injuries they are caused by it. 

Or they won’t because it’s paying their bills.

It makes me sad. Running is fantastic, and one should get injured when trying to get fit.  The problem with the Coach to 5km is the fact that because the programme is free, it only covers minimum, and there is much more to running than just going out three times a week. What about warm-ups, cooldowns, mobility, strength work, proper nutrition, recovery, coaching and group support? That’s why for every success, there are four failed attempts with this program.

For £9 per week with our Fitness Soul Couch to 5k you will get three training sessions delivered with an online app, games, support, plus unlimited contact with your coach, plus a private support group – people who are doing it with you.

We will celebrate the end of the programme with a 5k which you can complete for a time or just for fun.
