Day 13 - Long Day Discover Your Powers

Moving for a longer period of time gives us something more than just a workout. We challenge our bodies and minds. We learn that our body can do things we never thought are possible. We also learn to push past pain and exhaustion. We discover a whole new level of power.
When I (Joanna) completed my first sprint triathlon, I felt I was invincible (as I had to learn to swim to be able to complete it). That feeling spills into other areas of life. Then I was hungry for more. I did Olympic distance, half ironman and then an Ironman (3.8k swim, 180k cycle, and a marathon). Now I am hungry for more. I am curious what else my body is capable of.
There is never too late to start or to learn new skills. There is never too late to build your endurance and stamina.

TASK

The task for today is to go long. We ask you to go a little bit longer than last time!

Last week we said you could go for a long hike, cycle, swim or do two back to back classes at Fitness Soul! 

You can also do a few activities during this day. It doesn’t have to be in one go.

For example, it could be 30 minutes run in the morning followed by 60 minutes of a cycle later in the afternoon and a 60 minutes fitness class in the evening.

Try to keep your heart rate low, especially if you are doing one prolonged activity. Try breathing through your nose all the time. 

Make sure you have water and food with you. 

Don’t forget to enjoy it!!!
